Answer #1:
I'm on pantoprozole sol dr (the generic for protonix) for my acid reflux, it works great for me.
i'm also on citalopram (the generic for celexa) and it's working for my anxiety.
i encourage you to talk with a real doctor about treatment options.
as an alternative drug free solution. I tilt my bed by 2 phone books so my acid wont enter my throat when i sleep, it helps a great deal.
Answer #2:
you can do a lot to help the acid reflux without any medication, just a few life style changes.
My daughter has this too and this is what she did.
1. raise the head end of your bed. Not with more pillows but with a couple of wooden blocks so you raise the whole head end of the bed, about 3 inches. This helps gravity keep the acid from your stomach from migrating up your esophagus.
2. Never eat spicy or fatty foods or carbonated beverages shortly before going to bed.
3.Add a cup of chamomile tea to your diet after each meal. It is a digestive aid. It has the side benefit of being rather calming and may well help with the anxiety as well. Get good quality chamomile tea. It should only be the flowers, not the whole plant chopped up. GNC carries a good brand. i also prefer it to be plain old chamomile. No other herbs involved.
4.You may notice certain foods bother you more. Don't eat them, particularly before going to bed which is when acid reflux really can bother some people.
5. Start eating yogurt more often. It is great for all kinds of digestive issues.
Anxiety is a different story. you may need some sort of therapy for that. Or maybe someone else on YA will have a suggestion for you.
Answer #3:
For anxiety, Kava Kava has mild relaxing qualities, but nothing beats good old Xanax.
Answer #4:
acid reflux and anxiety are big red flags for fructose intolerance hun .......... lactose intolerance being mainly milk and dairy and fructose intolerance being an intolerance to all fructose, sucrose and sorbitol........ and entails most fruit and vegies, wheat and nuts and seeds... if your system can't assimilate the sugars in the food you are ingesting these are two of the symptoms that will be prominent ....... go and get lactose and fructose tested .... hydrogen breath testing .... only costs around $100.00AUD for each test ..... could very well extend your life span by 30 years.
seriously, pinpoint your food intolerances and avoid antacids like the plague ....... my dear old dad ate them like lollies the last 30 years of his life due to permanent acid reflux and died prematurely from cancer ..... at 60 years old..... make haste and do something proactive to hellp yourself please.
the side effects and symptoms produced by unaddressed food intolerances / allergies can cover almost the whole spectrum of known "diseases" and "illnesses".
peace

Answer #6:
Natural remedies for anxiety disorders can include herbs such as St John’s Wort. Clinical studies have demonstrated that this herb can be just as effective as prescription drugs, without the side effects. The calming effects of other herbs such as Passiflora incarnata, Scutellaria laterifolia (Scullcap) and Valerian, can help to take the edge off the initial exposure to the feared object or situation and reduce over-all anxiety.
Ingredients such as Calc phos, Carbo veg, Nat phos, Mag carb and Silicea helps to neutralize acid in the stomach as well as cleanse and eliminate toxins from the body and relieve symptoms of heartburn, indigestion, bloating and gas.
